3 medium turnips, peeled and cubed
4 Tbs butter
2 eggs
3 Tbs all purpose flour
1 Tbs brown sugar
3 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
Dash of ground nutmeg
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Place turnips in a small saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10 - 12 minutes or until tender. Drain. In a small mixing bowl, combine the turnips, 2 tbs butter and eggs. Combine the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt pepper and nutmeg. Add to the turnip mixture and mix well. Pour into a grease casserole. Mix the bread crumbs and remaining butter and spoon on top of the casserole. Bake at 350 ºF for 25 - 35 minutes or until toasty brown.
