1/4 cup of butter (1/2 a stick)
3-4 cloves chopped garlic
1/4 tsp black pepper

Directions:
1. If you want the green beans to be a little soft, you can boil them for a minute or two and then rinse with cool water to stop the cooking process before beginning the rest of the recipe.

2. In a pan on medium-high heat, add your butter and let it melt. Add the garlic and cook for one minute. Then, add green beans and spices. Cook the green beans until they are as blackened as you'd like.

3. With the beans still on medium high heat, add the soy sauce to the beans and let them get a little sticky.
