1 block firm tofu
1tsp salt
1/2 cup cornflour
Oil for frying

75ml cold water
1tbsp soy sauce
1/2tbsp rice vinegar
1tbsp hoisin sauce
1tbsp granulated sugar
1tsp cornflour
Grated ginger
Grated garlic
1/2tsp chilli flakes
Sesame seeds

Directions:
-Tear off tofu chunks and coat in cornflour and season with sale
-Heat oil in a frying pan or deep fryer over medium heat. Fry the tofu in until golden brown and crispy. Remove and place on a paper towel to drain.
-In a small bowl, whisk together water, soy sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, sugar, and cornflour. Set aside.
-in the same pan you fried the tofu in, add the grated ginger, garlic, and chilli flakes, and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
-Pour the prepared sauce into the skillet and stir continuously until it -thickens, around 1–2 minutes.
-Add the fried tofu to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat the tofu evenly.
-Garnish with sesame seeds and serve hot with steamed rice or stir-fried vegetables.
