3 to 4 lbs. pork spare ribs or pork button bones
¼ cup vinegar
3 Tbsps. soy sauce]
1 tsp. sugar
½ tsp. pepper
4 Tbsps. flour
2 tsps. cooking oil

Sweet & Sour Sauce
½ cup vinegar
1½ cups brown sugar
1 cup water
1 Tbsp. cornstarch dissolved in ¼ cup water
1-14oz. can pineapple tidbits (optional) (replace ½ cup water with)
½ cup pineapple juice

Directions:
Directions:
Cut ribs into serving size pieces and and place in large pot. Cover with water and add vinegar, bring to a boil and simmer 1 hour. Drain. Mix soy sauce, sugar and pepper and pour over ribs ensuring each piece is covered. Remove ribs and shake in brown paper bag with flour. In large skillet add cooking oil and brown (not too long or they will dry out). Place in large casserole dish. In saucepan combine sauce ingredients and cook over medium heat until slightly thick. If using pineapple place tidbits in casserole with ribs. Pour over ribs and bake in 350ºF for at least 1 hour for at least ½ hour.
