1½ lbs round steak, cubed
2 tbs shortening
½ cup water
5 medium zucchini, diced
1 medium onion, sliced and separated into rings
2 tbs shortening
2 cups or 1 No 303 can white kernel corn, drained
½ cup chopped green chilies
2 tsps garlic salt
1 tsp salt
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated

Directions:
Directions:
Brown round steak in hot shortening, using medium high heat. Reduce heat, add water, cover and simmer until tender, about 1 hour. Add more water if necessary.
Sauté squash and onion in hot shortening, using medium high heat, until slightly tender (about 10 minutes). Add corn, green chilies and seasonings.
Add meat and meat stock to vegetables. Simmer about 20 minutes to blend flavors. Add grated cheese and stir to melt.
