3 lbs stew meat
1 tbs oil
1 medium onion, diced
1 small bell pepper, diced
3 tbs tomato sauce or 1 large tomato, diced
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
2 tbs flour
1 cup water or chicken broth
Flour tortillas, rice or mashed potatoes

Directions:
Directions:
In a large pan, brown the stew meat in oil with onions and bell pepper over high heat. Add the tomato sauce or tomatoes, garlic powder, cumin, salt and pepper and stir well. Sprinkle the flour over the meat and mix well. Add water or broth and mix well so there are no lumps. Bring to a boil, cover pan and reduce heat to low. Cook for 1½ hours, or until mea is. tender. Taste and adjust seasonings if necessary.

So good! I sometimes serve with rice and have beef tips and rice. I also serve on a warm tortilla with sour cream, cheese, and hot sauce.
