Cookie:
5 1/2 cups flour
1 lb Shortening (lard)
6 teaspoons baking powder
Zest of 1 lemon
1 cup sugar
6 eggs

Glaze:
Powder sugar
Lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven at 375°

1. Mix (knead) all Cookie ingredients together
2. Roll into balls and place on regular brown cookie sheets. Dough has to be at room temperature
3. Bake for 12 - 15 minutes.
4. Cool off cookies on a rack, then glaze.

Glaze:
Powder sugar
Lemon juice
(Keep adding each until the right consistency. I like mine a little thicker and dye it red or green for the holidays.) Take cookie and just dip tops of cookies and put back on rack until dry.
