3/4 c. shortening or butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1 c. maple syrup, preferably a darker grade
2 t. vanilla
4 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 t. baking powder
2 t. salt

Filling:
1 1/2 c. maple cream
1 1/2 c. marshmallow fluff
1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
1/4 c. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, sugar and eggs.
Combine milk, maple syrup and vanilla in a large measuring cup.
Combine dry ingredients and whisk to mix
Add the maple syrup mixture and the dry ingredients alternately and mix until fully incorporated
Drop large spoonful's on lightly greased baking sheets or use parchment paper.
Bake at 375º for 10-12 minutes.
Cool before filling

Filling:
Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly. Generously frost a cake half and cover it with another half
