"The tradition of Italian cooking is that of the matriarch. This is the cooking of grandma. She didn't waste time thinking too much about the celery. She got the best celery she could and then she dealt with it."--Mario Batali

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Yorkshire pudding is a traditional British side dish made from a simple batter of eggs, flour, milk, and sometimes a pinch of salt. Despite its name, it is not a dessert pudding but a savory dish. It is typically baked in a hot oven, where the batter puffs up dramatically, creating a golden, crispy exterior with a soft, airy interior.

Key Characteristics:
• Crispy and Puffy: It rises and becomes light and hollow inside due to the high heat during baking.
•. Versatility: Often served as part of a traditional Sunday roast dinner, especially with roast beef.
•. Cooking Method: The batter is poured into a pan or muffin tin containing hot fat (like beef drippings or oil), which helps it rise and crisp up.

Uses:
•. Accompaniment to Roast Dinners: It soaks up gravy and complements the flavors of roasted meat.
•. Standalone Dish: In some cases, larger Yorkshire puddings are served filled with stew or other savory toppings.
