No- Cook Noodle Lasagna Recipe

1 lb. ground beef
1 (15½ oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
6 oz. (1½ cup) shredded Mozzarella cheese
2 eggs
1½ cup cream-style cottage cheese
1¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp. dried oregano
9 lasagna noodles
¾ c. hot water

1) Brown burger into a skiller and cook until no pink color left. Remove from heat and drain grease. Add spaghetti sauce into skillet with ground beef, mixing well.

2) In a bowl, crack 2 eggs; add cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, and 1 c. cheese. Crush oregano between your fingers as you add; mix the egg- cheese mixture well.

3) Turn oven to 350º, Place 3 uncooked lasagna noodles in a 12 x 7 x 2 inch baking dish. Put in center of pan, with about 1/2 inch of room around outside edge of pan.

4) Measure 1½ cups of meat mixture- spread over noodles even. Spread half of egg- cheese mixture over meat mix into baking dish. On top, add 3 more uncooked noodles. Repeat meat and egg-cheese mix. Top with 3 more uncooked noodles and remaining meat mix on top.

5) Pour hot water around the edges of the dish. Cover with foil and place in oven for 1½ hours to bake. Remove from oven and place remaining cheese on top to melt. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

The water around the edges bakes the noodles. This is a very kid-friendly recipe and originated from a "Cooking with Kids" recipe book in the Frick Family house.
