1 Envelope of Knox Gelatin
1/4 Cup Water
1/2 Cup Sugar
2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
1 3/4 Cups Milk
1/4 teaspoon Salt
2 Eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 Cup Cream, whipped

Directions:
Directions:
Soften gelatin in cold water. Mix sugar, cornstarch, and salt together. Add to milk and boil, cook until thick. Add eggs with a little of the hot milk, then to the rest of the milk mixture. Add gelatin to hot custard. Cool. Add vanilla and fold in whipped cream. Chill and serve with warm cherry pie filling on top.
