Ground Cherry Pie Recipe

1 1/4 c. sugar
4 T. flour
4 c. ripe ground cherries
1 t. lemon juice
pinch of cinnamon
2 T. butter
Pastry for 2 crust pie

Directions:
Directions:
Line bottom of pie plate with bottom crust. Combine the sugar and flour - spread half on the bottom of the crust. Add ground cherries to the pie plate and sprinkle the remaining sugar and flour on top.
Sprinkle with lemon juice and cinnamon. Dot with butter. Top with top crust - cut slits.
Place on foil lined cookie sheet and bake about 1 hour. Cover edges of crust with foil if needed.
