Directions:Put the dough ingredients in the bread machine in the order listed. Use dough setting to mix (my machine that would be done in the first 30 minutes), or if by hand mix wet ingredients together and then add the yeast, followed by half of the flour and the rest of the ingredients. Gradually add the rest of the flour ½ cup at a time until the dough is tacky. Be careful of adding too much flour.
Spread 4 TBS of melted butter in the bottom of two 9x13" baking pans.
Divide dough in half. On a lightly floured surface, roll each half into a 9x13" rectangle and then transfer to the buttered baking dishes. Press to fit into the corners of the pans. Brush with 1 TBS of melted butter for each pan. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 475ºF. Remove plastic wrap. Bake 10 to 12 minutes until edges are golden.
Combine topping in a small bowl.
Remove breadsticks from oven when done. Brush each pan with the remaining TBS of melted butter and sprinkle the topping on top. Let rest 5 minutes and then transfer to cutting board and use a pizza cutter to cut each pan into 12 sticks. |

Notes: My copycat recipe for Pizza Hut Breadsticks. Have decided that they are too thick when made in the 9x13" pans, so will utilize my pampered chef stone cookie sheet in the future.
