Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 block of feta cheese
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper
1.5 oz flour (for coating)
olive oil for frying
1 lemon (could also use a Tbsp of honey and sesame seeds for different flavor)

Directions:
Directions:
Cut feta block into strips that are roughly 1 inch thick.
Crack the egg into a bowl and whisk it with a fork.
In another bowl, add the flour and pepper and combine.
Dip the feta strips into the whisked egg, then roll in the flour. Make sure feta is entirely coated with the flour.
Pour your oil to the frying pan until it is about 1 cm full.
Heat the oil over medium high heat until it has reached 350F. If you don't have a thermometer, drip a drop of the egg in the pan-if it sizzles immediately, oil is ready.
Fry the feta until lightly browned. Use a slotted spoon to flip the feta over carefully, so that it is golden on both sides.
When done, remove and place on a paper towel to absorb the extra oil.
Squeeze a few drops of lemon on top and serve.
