Directions:The first step in preparing a delicious ube recipe is accumulating the proper ingredients. 1. Firstly, in order to make your pan de ube, you need to take 2 cups of lukewarm milk in a bowl. Then, mix 2 tbsp sugar in it. Let it dissolve completely in it. 2. After that, mix 2 tsp of yeast in it and make sure that you mix it well. 3. Next, you need to sieve all dry ingredients first. That will assure you of the desired consistency. 4.Then, in a bowl, you require to mix all the dry sieved ingredients, that is, the flour, sugar, and salt. 5. Next, pour the yeast-mixed milk-sugar mixture into the mixture of the dry-sieved ingredients. 6. Now, you need to mix all of these ingredients well with the help of a spatula. 7. Next, add 2 eggs to your mixture of ingredients. 8. After that add butter to it and mix it well. 9. Finally, you knead the mixture by hand for at least 10 minutes. Note – Add a tbsp of loose flour if the dough is sticky. The added amount will vary depending on the consistency of the kneaded dough. 10. Then, knead the dough well by hand again for at least 5 minutes more. 11. Then, cut the dough into the same-sized portions with the help of a knife. Make the cut portions of dough into a ball. Cover this ball-shaped dough for 15 minutes. 12. Next, flatten the edge of the dough with a rolling pin. 13. Now, put 1 tbsp ube jam in the middle of the flattened dough. If you are wondering how to make ube jam, you need not worry because you can use the store-bought option for a quick fix. 14. Next, you need to finally close the edge of the dough. Then, cut the side of the flattened dough into 6 cuts. 15. Arrange these portions in an oil-greased baking tray. 16. Then repeat the same procedure for the rest of the dough balls. Cover these prepared dough balls with plastic for 45 minutes.

You need to prepare the egg brush separately while making your ube bread roll. 4. Brush properly the upper edge of the pan de ube with this egg wash. 5. Finally, transfer the baking tray to the oven. Bake your pan de ube in a preheated oven for 15 minutes until they turn golden brown. 6. Once done, your pan de ube is ready to be freshly served! |

Notes: When preparing Pan de Ube, one must be joyful. If the preparer of the Pan de Ube is hostile the dish will come out gloomy, like a deflated balloon after a children’s birthday party. The sweet ube jam races through your taste buds, like smooth satin against your skin. The powdery residue covers the serene bread-bun tops like fresh winter snow on the tired tiled roof. Make sure to take care and kneed the dough earnestly. To keep the dough from getting sticky, (yuck!) I suggest you add a smidge of flour. To protect the egg yolks and the whites, guard these against the egg shells, as although these may be small, they can carry bacteria, poisoning you and your soul.
