1 stick (8 tablespoons) salted butter
1¼ cup dark brown sugar
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon sea salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cut the butter into pieces and place in a frying pan. Heat over medium to medium high heat stirring regularly until the butter has started to turn a light caramel color and golden flecks start to form on the bottom. Remove from heat. In a medium sauce pan put the sugar and butter mixing well. Add the cream and heat over medium to medium high heat stirring constantly until it starts to bubble - this may take about 20 minutes or more. Cook for an additional 5 minutes stirring to thicken. Remove from heat and add the vanilla and salt blending well. Remove from pan to a glass measuring cup or bowl. Can be kept (if it lasts) for up to 2 weeks.
