1 1/2 lb. round steak
2 T. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
3 T. shortening
1 1/2 c. canned stewed tomatoes
1 med. onion, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325°. Trim fat from steak. Combine flour, salt and pepper. Pound flour mixture into both sides of steak with tenderizing mallet. Melt shortening in frying pan. Brown meat on both sides. Add tomatoes and onions. Cover and place in oven for about 2 hours, or until tender.
