3/4 c sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground cloves
2 large eggs
1 - 15 oz can pumpkin
1 - 12 oz can evaporated milk
1 unbaked - 9 inch deep -dish pie crust, or make from scratch

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, salt, spices in a medium bowl. Beat eggs in a large bowl. Stir in pumpkin and sugar-spice mixture. Gradually stir in evaporated milk.

Pour into the pie shell.

Bake in preheated 425º oven for 15 minutes, reduce heat to 350º; bake 40 minutes or until knife comes out clean. Cool wire rack for 2 hours. Serve immediately with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
