1 pound dry pinto beans
1/2 small white onion
1 tbsp minced garlic
2 jalapeno, diced
1 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp black pepper
4 cups water
1/4 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Soak the beans at least 8 hours in cold water
Rinse soaked beans in a colander
Add beans to instant pot and add 4 cups water
Add the rest of the ingredients, except salt, mix well
Close the instant pot lid and place the vent to closed
Cook on high pressure for 20 minutes
After cook cycle sounds done let it vent naturally for 15 minutes
Open the vent, and add salt, stir
