1 small onion, chopped
1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup flour
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1-14.5 ounce can chicken broth
1 cup half and half cream
4 cups cubed cooked chicken
4 cups cooked wild rice
2-4 ounces cans mushrooms, drained
1-4 ounces jar diced pimentos, drained
1 Tablespoon minced fresh parsley
1/3 cup slivered almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease 2 1/2 quart baking dish and set aside. In large saucepan saute onions in butter until tender. Stir in flour salt and pepper until blended. Gradually stir in broth and bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes or until thick and bubbly. Stir in cream, chicken, rice, mushroom, pimentos and parsley and heat thoroughly. Transfer to prepared baking dish and sprinkle with almonds. Bake uncovered for 30 to 35 minutes.
