1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons shortening
3 tablespoons sugar
⅛ teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 unbeaten egg
1 package yeast
3 cups flour
⅓ cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Bring sour cream to boil, remove from heat. Add shortening, sugar, soda and salt. Cool to lukewarm and add egg and yeast. Stir until yeast is dissolved and add 3 cups flour. Knead with hands a few minutes. Let stand 5 minutes, roll out on floured board and cover entire surface with butter. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over one half the dough and fold other half over. Cut in 1 inch strips about 4 inches long. Twist and put on a cookie sheet. Let sit for 1½ hours. Bake at 375º for 15 minutes.
