1 ( 18.25 Ounce ) Yellow or White Cake Mix ( plus ingredients to prepare according to package directions ).

Prepare cake according to package directions and bake. Set aside to cool.
 

Punch Bowl Cake Filling

2 ( 3.4 Ounce ) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
4 Cups Milk
1 ( 20 Ounce ) can Strawberry or Cherry Pie Filling
1 ( 20 Ounce ) Can Crushed Pineapple with Juice
1 ( 12 or 20 Ounce ) Frozen whipped Topping ( Such as Cool Whip ). Thawed
Strawberries for Garnish ( Optional )

While the cake is baking combine the pudding mix and milk in a large bowl and refrigerate until set.
In another large bowl, combine the pie filling and crushed pineapple with juice.
Once the cake as cooked break into bite size chunks.
Cover the bottom of a punch bowl or very large clear mixing bowl with half the cake chunks. Layer with half the pudding, then half the fruit mixture, then enough whipped topping to cover. Repeat layers int the same order, finishing with the topping.
Garnish with berries if desired.
