1 jar prepared mincemeat (found in most grocery stores)
2 large tart apples (such as Granny Smith) peeled and chopped
½ cup raisins
3 tbsp sugar, or to taste
¼ tsp cinnamon
⅛ tsp nutmeg
⅛ tsp cloves
⅓ cup brandy
2 9" pie crusts

Directions:
Directions:
Cook the apples, raisins, sugar, spices and brandy in a small sauce pan until apples are soft. Combine the jar of mincemeat with the apple mixture in a large bowl.

Preheat oven to 450º
Line a 9" pie pan with crust and fill with the mincemeat mixture. Cover with the upper crust, trim, crimp and cut slits on the top crust. Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 325º for 30 - 35 minutes until crust is golden brown. Best served warm.
