Box yellow cake mix, baked and cooled
4 oz package of Jello, any flavor
½ cup cold water
1 cup boiling water
Cool Whip

Directions:

Bake cake in 8 x 13 baking pan. Cool. Prick with straw at ½ in intervals. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add cold water and spoon over cake layers. Refrigerate 4 hours. Frost with cool whip. Garnish with nuts, cherries, or other fruit if desired.
