2 c. sugar
1/4 c. white corn syrup
⅔ c. water
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
¾ c. cold water
3 egg whites, beat stiff
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, corn syrup and water in 2 qt. sauce pan . Bring to a hard boil until hard ball stage (245º F at 5,000 ft + altitude). Dissolve 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin in ¾ c. cold water. Combine gelatin and syrup in large bowl. Pour the hot syrup/gelatin mixture slowly into the stiff beaten egg whites and add the vanilla. Beat the mixture for 15 minutes
Pour into buttered or flour dusted pans (any shape). Cornstarch is great dusting agent also. Allow to set untill firm - approximately 45-60 min.
Cut into desired shapes and roll in chopped nuts, coconut, sugar, or powdered sugar. Dip into candy coating chocolate if desired.
