5 lbs. flour (20 c. flour)
3 c, dry nonfat instant milk
3/4 c. baking powder
3 T. salt
2 T cream of tarter
1/2 c. sugar
1 2 lb. can shortening (5 c.)

Directions:
Mix flour, milk, baking powder, salt, cram of tarter and sugar in large bowl or canning kettle. Add shortening in clumps so you can combine it like you do pie dough. (It's almost easier to just use your hands.) Continue mixing till like a cornmeal consistency. Store in air tight containers. You may want to freeze for longer storage. Gallon cans are good, as are Zip-Lock bags...
TO USE:
BISCUITS 450º 10-15 min (1 doz) :3 c. mix, 3/4 c. water---blend & knead 10 strokes
PANCAKES-(18 med.) 3 c. mix, 2 T. sugar, 1 egg 1 1/2 c. water, just blend
MUFFINS- (1 doz.) 3 c. mix, 2 T. sugar, 1 egg & 1 c. water combined--blend well w/dry ingrdients.
WAFFLES- (6) 3 c. mix, 1 egg, 1 1/2 c. water, waffle iron set at med. heat
COBBLER TOPPING- 9"x13" pan- 3 c. mix, 1/2 c. sugar, 1/3 c. water, 1/2 c. butter/short. Combine short and sugar. Add water- stir till crumbly. Spread over fruit filling. Sprinkle top with sugar and cinnamon.
DROP COOKIES (4 dz.) 25 min @ 350º- 3 c. mix, 1 c. sugar, 1 egg, 1/3 c.water, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 c. nuts and or cho. chips or other additions as desired. Blend drop on cookie sheet.
BROWNIES:(1 1/2 dz), 350º- 30 min, 8x8 pan., 1 c. mix, 1 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 1/3 c. cocoa, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 c. chopped nuts. Beat eggs, combine with dry ingred. Add vanilla and nuts. Mix well, Spread in greased pan.
