1 loaf French bread
4 Eggs
1/2 cup sugar
3 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup melted butter, cooled
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 pinch salt

Directions:
Directions:
Slice bread into 1/2 inch slices.

Beat together eggs and sugar for one minute.

Add milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon and pinch of salt.

Press bread slices down into mixture, turning 3 times. Let stand for a while, or overnight in refrigerator.

Preheat oven to 350º. Put slices in a greased casserole dish and pour remaining mixture on top.

Bake about 45 minutes (for the last 10 minutes, remove slices and heat on a cookie sheet until golden brown).

Serve with maple syrup or Cranberry-Apple compote.
