2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup strong coffee
1/4 cup cocoa
1/2 cup buttermilk or sour milk
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla


Frosting:
1/2 cup butter
2 T. cocoa
1/4 cup milk
3 1/2 cups Icing sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a large mixing bowl combine flour & sugar.
2. In sauce pan combine butter, shortening, coffee, & cocoa.
Stir and heat to boiling.
3. Pour boiling mixture over the flour & sugar mixture.
Add buttermilk, eggs, baking soda & vanilla.
4. Mix Well.
5. Pour into 17 x 11 pan (cookie sheet) Bake at 400 for 20 minutes.
6. While brownies bake prepare frosting.
7. I sauce pan combine butter, cocoa, & milk. Heat to boiling & stir.
8. Mix in icing sugar & vanilla until smooth.
9. Pour warm frosting over brownies as soon as you take them out of oven.
10. Cool & Cut.
