Vegetable Chowder:
1 cup vegetables
1 cup diced potatoes
1 cup diced fish such as haddock and/or halibut

¼ cup diced salt pork or bacon
3 cups diced fresh vegetables
1 cup boiling water
Seasonings
2 cups hot milk

Directions:
Directions:
Make a vegetable chowder using the vegetables, potatoes and fish. Fry these ingredients until brown and then simmer with seasonings until tender.

Fry pork until brown. Add remaining vegetables and fry until brown. Add the boiling water and seasonings. Simmer until vegetables are tender. Combine with the hot milk. Add the finished vegetable chowder.
