46 vanilla wafers
3 Tbsps sugar
1/4 tsp salt
5 Tbsps unsalted butter, melted
Filling:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup powdered sugar
3 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup pecans, chopped fine
additional crushed vanilla wafers

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º F
In a food processor, pulse cookies until finely ground (you should have about 1 1/2 cups). Add sugar, salt, and butter and pulse until combined. Using a dry, flat bottomed glass or your fingers, press crumb mixture into bottom and up sides of a 9" pie plate forming a firm layer. Bake until crust is dry and set, about 9-12 mins. Let cool completely before filling.
Filling: Cream butter and sugar together thoroughly. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla and nuts and beat until well combined. Spread filling over crust evenly. Sprinkle with add'l crushed wafers over top. Let stand overnight in refrigerator.
