2 sticks butter, room temp
2 cups flour
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup raspberry preserves
1 cup sugar
2 large egg yolks

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º F
Cream butter and sugar well. Add egg yolks and mix until creamy. Add flour a tablespoon at a time. Grease a square 8" baking pan and spread dough evenly. Spread with preserves and top with sliced nuts. Bake for 1 hr.

A recipe given to me by our head sacristan, Theresa Givens. She actually shared one of her recipes with me! Love how this old fashioned recipe, it's more like a Danish pastry than a coffee cake!
