Directions: |
Directions:Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Press or roll (if you have a small rolling pin) cookie dough into a 14 inch circle on an ungreased pizza pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned. Let it cool completely if leaving the pizza on this pan or cool for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a round serving platter. Blend cream cheese, brown sugar and vanilla together until smooth, then spread on cooled cookie. Peel, core and slice apples and dip in lemon-lime soda to prevent browning. Drain apple slices and arrange on cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Heat the caramel topping and drizzle over apples. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts. Cut like a regular pizza and serve.
The variation, thus making it "two ways," on this recipe is: Replace the peanut butter cookie dough with sugar cookie dough Add 1/4 c. creamy peanut butter to cream cheese mixture Omit the cinnamon |

Notes: Be advised that there may be some truth in "an apple a day keeps the doctor away," BUT just because this recipe contains two apples, don't eat the whole thing yourself, thinking you're doing something really healthy!
