1 or 2 lbs fresh asparagus
1 clove garlic, crushed (optional)
1-2T Olive oil
salt
pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat over to 400. Wash asparagus and holding the middle and the thick end, bend each stalk until it snaps (this gets rid of the tough ends). Toss asparagus with olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper.

Spread single layer on cookie sheet and roast in oven until cooked - you want them a little carmelized but not limp and overdone. Probably 15-20 minutes.
