1 medium head cabbage
1 medium onion, sliced
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. celery seed
3/4 c. salad oil
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp dry mustard

Directions:
Directions:
Shred head of cabbage. Place in a bowl in layers alternating with thinly sliced onion. Sprinkle each layer with 3/4 c. sugar. Boil 1 cup vinegar, 2 teaspoons sugar, 1 teaspoon celery seed, 3/4 cup salad oil, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon dry mustard. Pour over cabbage while hot, let stand 4 to 6 hours.
This is even better after 2-3 days... will keep for 2-3 weeks.
