7 lbs cucumbers
1 c. Pickling lime
2 gallons water
9 c. sugar
1 T. plain or pickling salt
2 qts vinegar(5% acidity)

Tie in spice bag:
1 T. Celery seed *
1 T. whole cloves*
1 T. whole mixed pickling spice
*don't need these per Mary

Directions:
Directions:
1. Wash cucumbers and slice. Soak 12 hours in lime water (1 cup lime to 2 gallons water).

2. Remove and rinse well through several changes of cold water to remove lime sediment. Cover pickles with ice water allow pickles to stand 3 hours-

Drain well
