1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking poder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup cornflakes
1 cup rolled oats

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients except cornflakes and rolled oats.
Slowly add the cornflakes and rolled oats. Stir just enough to mix.
Roll into balls and flatten with fork.
Bake in 350 - 375 degree oven

These cookies were my personal favorite. I remember coming home from school and smelling the fresh baked cookies. Of course I'd have to have 1 or 3.
