Directions:
Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and blend well. Sift together flour, soda and Cream of Tartar. Add flour mixture gradually to creamed mixture. If using food coloring: divide dough in half and add coloring to each ball and combine just little bit to make a marbled effect. Put into cookie press and press cookies on to ungreased COLD cookie sheets. Before baking sprinkle colored sugar on top of them. (Between batches cool the cookie sheets before putting more press cookies on to them or they will not stick). Bake 8 - 10 minutes DO NOT let them brown.
