1 broiler-fryer chicken whole or already split
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 1/2 c. Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1/4 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese, or Parmesan and Romano cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cheese and crumbs together. Melt butter. Cut chicken into pieces. Dip pieces in butter, then in bread crumb mixture. Arrange in a baking dish, pour remaining butter over the chicken and bake, uncovered, for 1 hour in a 350º degree oven. Cover and bake for an additional 15 minutes.

When I (Julie) had four young children around the house, I would buy the Italian bread crumbs and chicken parts, so that I could whip this family favorite up very quickly. It is not as good as the original (particularly if you use fresh herbs) but it does speed up the process by more than half.
