12 small pickling cucumbers
2 cups water
1 3/4 cups white vinegar
1 1/2 cups chopped fresh dill weed
1/2 cup sugar
8 garlic cloves, chopped
1 1/2 Tblsp. sea salt
1 Tbsp. pickling spice
1 1/2 tsp. dill seed
1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes or less, to taste

Combine all ingredients in large bowl and let stand for 2 hours until sugar and salt have dissolved. Put cucumbers in wide mouth jars, 4 to a jar. Pour liquid in the jars, covering cucumbers. Seal with hot lids. Keep in refrigerator for 10 days before opening.
