2 Tablespoon butter
2 Tablespoon flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup chopped cooked ham
1 deep dish pie pastry shell

Directions:
Directions:
Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in the flour, salt and nutmeg. Add the milk, whisking constantly. Cook until the sauce has thickened. Stir in the Swiss cheese, stirring until melted.Stir a small amount of the sauce into the beaten eggs; then stir the eggs into the sauce. Add the ham and mix well. Prick the bottom and sides of the pastry shell with a fork. Bake at 425 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Reduce the heat to 300 degrees. Pour the ham mixture into the hot baked crust. Bake 45-50 minutes or until set.
