2 c all purpose flour
2 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c butter or margarine, softened
1 c chopped nuts
1 tsp baking soda
1-2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1 c dairy sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
2 cups apples, finely chopped

Directions:

Heat oven to 350ºF. In a large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar and margarine at low speed until crumbly. Stir in nuts. Press 2 3/4 cups of crumb mixture into ungreased 13x9 inch pan. To remaining crumb mixture, add baking soda, cinnamon, salt, sour cream, vanilla and egg; blend well. Stir in apples. Spoon apple mixture evenly over crumb mixture in pan. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cut into squares. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream drizzled with butterscotch topping.
