4 squares semi-sweet Baker’s chocolate
2 sticks butter or margarine
4 eggs
1 tbls. Vanilla
2 cups Sugar
8 tbls. Flour
Dash of salt
1 cup Pecans

Directions:
Directions:
In a glass bowl melt butter/margarine and chocolate in microwave for 2 minutes, stir and set aside to cool.
In a larger bowl beat eggs together until frothy.
Add sugar, flour, vanilla, salt and mix together.
Add cooled chocolate mix and stir thoroughly.
Add pecans
Pour into pie shell or greased pie plate.
Bake at 350° for 45 to 60 minutes depending on how hot of an oven you have. The top will become crusty and rise up. When you take it out of the oven it will settle and crack on top.
Let it set for at least 1 hour before cutting because middle will be very runny if it has not set yet.

Meme and Mom made these for Thanksgiving and Christmas every year. They also gave them to friends and teachers for gifts every year.
The pie can be frozen for us to six months.
