1 box concentrated Mincemeat
2 cups water
2/3 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 Tablespoon vanilla
2 cups rolled oats
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 350*. Break apart mincemeat and bring to boil in the 2 cups water to make a juicy sauce. Set aside.
Melt shortening and brown sugar together. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Set aside.
Mix oats with flour and soda and then pour hot sugar mixture over top and stir together. Pat 1/2 of mixture into a rectangle baking pan (smaller than 9x13 if you have it).
Pour mincemeat into baking pan over oat crust. Then sprinkle remaining oat mixture over top until completely covered. Bake 20-30 min or until slightly browned and bubbly. Cool. Store covered. Good for several days.
