Quart size canning jars
Pickling Cucumbers
Water
2/3 cups salt
12 cups water
12 cups of vinegar
fresh dill for each jar
2 garlic cloves for each jar
red pepper for each jar
1/4 tsp. alum

Directions:
Directions:
Process jars for canning (can be placed in a dishwasher and use when hot)
Soak Pickles in salt and water for 2 hours and drain off liquid place pickles in jars with garlic, dill and red pepper.
Mix up brine:
12 cups water
12 cups vinegar
heat until boiling and keep at slow boil so liquid is hot when poured into prepared jars.
