Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2-3 lbs. round steak or cubed steaks
Flour
Salt and Pepper
Garlic (fresh, minced, powder--whatever you have)
28-oz. can whole tomatoes
1-2 onions, sliced
oil for frying

Directions:
Directions:
Tenderize meat (not necessary for cube steaks) and dredge well with flour. Brown in oil in a frying pan. Season well with Salt and Pepper and garlic. Drain off any extra oil. Layer onions over top of meat, cover with tomatoes, juice included. Cover and simer on top of stove for about 45 minutes on a med-low heat till tender. Tomato mixture will thicken up during cooking and makes a great gravy. Serve over mashed potatoes.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This was one of the family staples growning up and still one of Dad's favorites. It could even be done in a crock pot after browning.
