1/2 c chopped nuts (optional)
1 c. mashed bananas
1 1/2 c sifted flour
1 tsp soda
1/2 t salt
1/2 c soft butter
1 c sugar
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
1/2 c sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Set oven at 350º to preheat. Grease a 9x5x3" loaf pan. Mash bananas. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Combine butter and egg and flavoring in a mixing bowl. Add banana and sour cream and nuts (if using). Beat until well blended. Fill pan 2/3 full. Bake 1 hour or until done. Loosen and remove from pan. Cool thoroughly before serving. Makes about 30 1/8" slices.
I insert toothpick in the middle of loaf and if it comes out dry its done.
