1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 can crushed tomatoes in puree
1 can Contadina Paste
1 can Hunt's tomato sauce (no flavorings ! 1 clove crushed garlic
5 paste cans of hot water
fresh basil (or dried)
salt & pepper
1/4 c. sugar

Fry beef in oil & garlic. In sauce pan saute tomatoes in hot oil and garlic. Add sugar, S&P, and basil. Cook 10 minutes. Add paste cook 15 min. Add sauce. Cook 10 min. Add water. Bring to boil. Add beef. Simmer an hour. Serve with any pasta.

This is my most consistent recipe. I make it in all different combinations, depending on what I have in the cupboard, and my mood ! It never tastes the same..honestly with these basic ingredients you can't go wrong. It is "quick" and always delicious. This is Tommy's favorite with gnocchi or rigatoni's.
