3 Sticks Butter
3 C. Sugar
6 Eggs
3 C Plain Flour
¼ tsp Baking Soda
8 oz Sour Cream (not LIGHT)
¼ tsp. salt
1 tsp Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Have eggs, butter and sour cream at room temperature for best results. Prepare a tube pan by greasing and flouring well.
Cream butter until light and creamy and add sugar ½ C. at a time. Add eggs - one at a time, mixing well after each one. Sift flour and salt together and mix the Baking Soda with the Sour Cream together. Begin to add the flour mixture and the sour cream mix alternately to the butter/egg mixture until all has been added. Add the vanilla.
Bake at 325º about 1 ½ hours and a cake tester shows it is done.
