2 eggs
1 lb. light brown sugar
1 cup cooking oil
1 c. warm instant coffee (use 1 tsp instant coffee with 1 cup of warm water)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 cups flour
6 oz bag chocolate chips (see note *)
½ c. walnuts (chopped)

Directions:

Set oven to 350 degrees. Mix eggs and sugar together. Add oil and coffee. Stir well. Add vanilla. Next, sift together dry ingredients. Mix all ingredients well. Pour into a 9 x 12 inch greased pan.* Top with chocolate chips and nuts. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes. Cool and cut.

* Note: May use a large cookie sheet, and top the coffee bar with 1 – 12 oz. bag of cholate chips and about 1 c. walnuts, and bake at 350 degrees for about 15 to 20 minutes. (I use a cookie sheet for this recipe and it yields a thinner bar.)

This recipe was given to me by my sister, Linda Williams, many years ago. I often make this recipe whenever I am attending a party or having company. It keeps very well.
