FRUIT FILLING
6 medium granny smith apples sliced (about 8 cups)
1 can cherry pie filling
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

STREUSEL TOPPING
1/4 cup (1/2 stick butter or margarine) melted
1/4 cup almonds chopped
1 cup quick oats
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
vanilla icecream (optional)

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. For fruit filling peel core and slice apples. Cut apples in half. Combine apples, pie filling and cinnamon in a large bowl. Spoon filling into a deep casserole dish.

For streusel topping, place butter in microwave for 45-60 seconds until melted. Chop almonds. Add almonds, oats, flour, brown sugar and cinnamon to the butter. Mix together. Sprinkle topping evenly over fruit filling.

Bake 35-40 minutes or until apples are tender. Cool slightly. Serve warm and topped with vanilla ice cream
